ENDUR®-C Microcellular Urethane
ENDUR®-C Urethanes are high-performance moldable foams possessing unique characteristics that make them suitable for a wide variety of applications.
Compared to other urethane foams, ENDUR-C materials are composed of much smaller, more uniform cells. The average cell size of an ENDUR-C urethane is 150µm, compared to over 400µm in conventional foams. This structure enhances wear characteristics, dimensional stability, and consistency over the life of the material.
ENDUR-C Urethanes exhibit excellent compression set resistance and good energy absorption, similar to ENDUR-C Urethane’s close relative – Rogers’ PORON® Urethanes. Compression set resistance gives components made with ENDUR-C long-lasting, consistent performance in many applications. Its energy absorption characteristics are useful in molded components designed to protect against shock and vibration.
The molding process for ENDUR-C Urethanes allows fabrication of components with precise dimensions.
ENDUR-C Urethanes can be modified with specialty additives and coatings. ENDUR-C LE foams display semi-conductive properties without the use of carbon loading, which will alter the physical characteristics of the host material. ENDUR-C UV formulations contain antioxidants that provide added resistance to ultra-violet radiation, ozone, or other oxidative environments. ENDUR-C SC has a thin silicone coating that increases the materials coefficient of friction and provides resistance to silicone-based contaminants that may be present in an application.
