Automotive Market - In 1995, Rogers Durel Division began supplying backlighting solutions to the automotive industry using patented automotive lamp technology. Since this time, it has provided electroluminescent (EL) lamps and drivers to many of the largest and most prestigious automotive OEMs worldwide. As a result, Rogers is the dominant supplier of EL lighting for automobiles.
Rogers' long history in developing drivers for handheld, timepiece and other consumer electronics led to the development of the powerful D306 driver integrated circuit (IC) for automotive applications. The D306 driver is a 12 Vdc driver with Pulse Width Modulating (PWM) dimming capability. It is able to drive lamps as large as 180 cm2.
